"I really admire your blog. Most people suffer greatly with the scars that they are forced to live with. You have turned scars around into a thing of beauty. Being a girl people do not look at my graphic throat scar or others the same way as people do on this blog but maybe one day I will come to share them with you :) peace"

I see scars as a tangible marker for a life event, be it large or small. Scars can say more about a person than most tattoos. Tattoos are choices. Scars are manifested life-experience. A tattoo is a person trying to separate themselves from the crowd — a graphic depiction of how they express themselves. The scar happened to them; it is the why they are who they are.
Scars will never cease to fascinate me and I do truly find them beautiful, as well as the people that proudly own them.
Here’s hoping that someday you’ll feel comfortable enough in your own skin to share yours. :)
