Fuck Yeah Scars!

Had surgery a few months ago and finally got the bandages off. Fun times.
Basically, whilst playing Football (soccer rules) it broke. I played as a goalkeeper, particularly powerful shot from close range and that was it. Played in goal after that, saving similarly hard shots for about 3 months until I went to the doctor, who diagnosed a sprain. Two months went by (still broken, still playing in goal) when I had a physiotherapist who noticed something not right. Was referred to hospital for x-rays and diagnoses. Turns out I broke my scaphoid bone and would need surgery. I’d been playing in goal with a broken wrist for 8 months by this point. Almost a year after breaking it, I had a bone graft and metal pin inserted into the scaphoid, 6 4 months of cast and God only knows how many stitches. Back to health now, 18 months after breaking it. Still sore to move, still very stiff, and I still can’t write properly.
